Pairing & Mobbing

It is totally cool to work on your own on something especially if your head is in it and you want to complete something, but do remember it will need to be maintained by the group afterwards.

It is much preferred to do little bits of pairing on pieces of work or even mobbing as required.

Driver

You are writing the code, take your time and take cues from the CoPilots.

CoPilot

Don’t be back seat drivers, look ahead at what the driver is doing, are they going to need to know something in the near future can you be looking this up? be a help not a hindrance.

Is the Driver doing it differently to the way you would? this is fine let the driver drive and help where you can and reflect on it once it is done.

Mobbing

Driver

You are in the hot seat but try and chill as much as possible you have a lot of help! You will make typos and have to look up silly things but you have a whole team behind you.

You are like the CoPilot++ you can be all looking up different things or even pairing up on future issues you can see coming along.
